What is your most popular blog posting?
Answer:
My most popular blog posting wasMy Favorite Things. In order to determine this, I based it on both number of Unique Pageviews and Average Time on Page due to the fact that I can have a better sense on how people went on that page and how long did they actually stay there for instead of just a “click-and-go”. If I were to check page views, it wouldn’t be able to determine if they’re from different users, whereas Unique Pageviews takes a look how many distinctive visitors took a look at that page itself.
Time on Page: 1:11
Numer of Pageviews: 25
Unique Pageviews: 19

What is your least popular blog posting?
Answer:
My least popular blog posting was my Welcome page. I used both Pageviews and Unique Pageviews to determine this and both were simply much lower than the rest. It does make sense to why not many people are attracted to it due to the lack of enthusiasm of the title itself, let alone the minimal content. I didn’t want to count the time on page due to the fact that when advertising my blog, I felt that it could be misleading as people may have clicked the links were added on that post (which then re-directed them to a new tab) to explore into.
Time on Page: 2:32
Number or Pageviews: 12
Unique Pageviews: 9

Where in the world are my visitors located?
Answer:
Both Canada and the United States
Canada (Total of 42): Ontario (42)
United States (Total of 16): Wisconsin (4), New York (3), Virginia (3), Nebraska (2), Connecticut (1), New Jersey (1), Pennsylvania (1), and Texas (1)

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a great tool that enables users to access gathered data, relative to the users and frequency. Not only does it gather how many viewers visits your page, it also keeps track of how long they stay, where the visitors are located in the world, what pages they visit, and when they leave on your site. It’s ideal for beginners due to its accessibility and efficiency when navigating through sections. It’s easy to implement in any website an individual may wish to start or currently have and keeping track of which content works best for viewers will help the blogger/writer be more effective in terms of what content to put up in order to gain traffic.

As great as Google Analytics may seem, it may not be as effective in terms of gaining new traffic; where there’s good, there is also the downside to things. Sure it’s effective for those who would like to keep track of things but what’s there to keep track of if there are no viewers? One of the main disadvantages that I personally learned about recently that I find important is that it is only URL and title based. What that means is that when someone is trying to “Google” something, your blog that may be the perfect solution for this person but if your URL or titles doesn’t match their keywords, your blog will remain unfound unless someone types your URL/title name and to top it off, Google Analytics won’t register it!

Overall, I honestly think that Google Analytics is a great tool for starters or even anyone in general. It’s easy, effective and best of all – it’s free! Anyone can easily sign up for it as long as you have a Google account. Feel free to try it out here and just copy and paste the HTML given to you once you’ve registered your blog!

Favorite Things

There are so many things I like and I just don't know where to start with this one!

Let's start with hobbies:
I love playing sports (snowboarding, rollerblading, basketball, etc.), watching anime, playing video games (console, computer and card games), shopping, Photoshopping, baking/decorating, going on road trips/traveling.

I've been fortunate enough to be able to travel to many different places and have also been sponsored to go to many parts of the US for gaming. Just being able to see different parts of the world and exploring cultures as well as meeting new people is certainly something I love to do.

As for products and brands, it's honestly not too long of a list because it's only a handful of products that I'll completely dedicate myself to since I like to explore new products, considering that there's always room for improvement. Alternatively, brand-wise, I can certainly say that with some items (usually for the larger items), I'm very selective. With phones and laptops, I can certainly say that due to their great customer service and convenient products, Apple is definitely a brand I'm fairly loyal to. I've had my iPhone dropped and what-not yet it still survives. Not only that, when I'm in need of technical support and they can't resolve my issue, they simply provide me with a new phone to replace the previous one -- hassle-free! With that, my Macbook Pro has been through a great deal and has taken quite the beating from me as I bring it with me on road trips and such. It's user-friendly with convenient per-installed programs such as iMovie and iPhoto to sort my photos and videos while clipping them together in a semi-professional view.

As a girl who loves to shop, I can say that I'm not too picky on the brands when it comes to clothing. As long as it looks good and it feels good, it's perfectly fine with me. On the other hand, when it comes to accessories such as purses and wallets, I tend to lean towards the luxury brands and tend to spend much more on them. From Coach to Michael Kors and from Tory Burch to Louis Vuitton, I just love them all as long as they look beautiful.

My Career Goals

My goals are fairly simple and I'm sure most students' goals are similar to mine.

My short-term goals:
My short term career goal is to essentially finish this semester to get there. This is my last semester here in Sheridan College since I'm in the 2-year program and finishing off with a high GPA is my goal. With that, I will slowly develop my resume-writing skills in order to prepare myself.

My medium-term career goals:
My medium-term career goals would be to determine what kind of role I would like to play within a company and most importantly, which company to apply to. This will take a bit of time and plenty of research in order to achieve this medium-term goal.

My long-term career goals:
My long-term career goals would be to develop myself within a company and work my way to the top. I have two options which are: to continue my family's business or work within large company. If I choose to work for a company, I'm hoping to go into the field of sales or marketing and would like to put myself in a high position within a company whether by working from the bottom up, or simply to be qualified enough through experience and education.
